Caitlin has now officially graduated to the Big Kids area (2-3yrs) and the Nursery Supervisor wanted to talk me through the transition stratergies etc and she was just telling me how happy Caitlin is at daycare and that she doesn't think there will be any issues with her settling in.

I just said that Caitlin is always chatting about her friends at daycare and I love how she gives Becca (the supervisor I was talking to) a kiss and cuddle when she arrives and leaves as it puts our minds at rest knowing she is THAT comfortable there and how that means a lot to us (me and DH).

Becca burst into tears and said she is going to miss Caitlin so much and said if it wasn't for the fact that Caitlin would get so much out of being in the other area, she would keep her in the nursery until she was 5
She also said that when she has a child, she hopes she's lucky enough to have a child just like Caitlin

How lovely is that! She had me in tears in the end lol

That's lovely. It's so nice to hear about children that really enjoy DC and bond with their caregivers.

Thanks Lu
(now you've made me cry! lol)

Considering the circumstances of why we had to put her there in the first place we have been so incredibly lucky to find such an awesome daycare

I thought the same as Liz...LOL

But yah it is a great compliment to have about your beautiful Daughter.

But she was always suck a quiet and placid child...and the cuteness was bonus.

I guess Caitlin is lucky to have parents like you and you guys are lucky to have a DD like Caitlin. Well done to the family!!

as a preschool teacher its great to hear something good..sometimes it seems parents only say something when it's bad..like at Christmas when i was teaching it was nice to have a card or someone to say have a great holiday my child will miss you...:) so great she is doing so well!:)

The only problem I have ever had was with the TTing and that wasn't a major - just miscommunication really.

I can't say enough how awesome they all are at the daycare and I tell them everyday "thank you for looking after my baby". It just seems like such a hard job to look after all those kids (I know I couldn't do it!) so for the parents to show a bit of appreciation every so often would make the job that much better

it is hard.... :( much harder to look after my own baby:) but yeah its so hard to leave a job like i did i still go in all the time just to hear all the 'Kerri-Anne's here... and 'is that the baby that was in your tummy' hehe..:) but yes we appreciate it when people say thankyou or something nice .. so thanks to you on behalf of the teachers:)!
