I must admit after reading other people's stories on here I feel a unsure weather I am jumping the gun a bit being here.
Anyway, I'm 22 and my husband and I have been trying for #3 for over 12mths with no luck. #1 concieved on the pill, #2 concieved on the injection so we have never really "TTC". While pg with #2 I have a cyst on my fallopian tube with was removed and I was told scare tissue my form. My cycles are all over the place, I ov all over the place, sometime cd14 but more likely cd20 or 22 in a 28day cycle, lots of pain to the point of needing bedrest during ov and sometime during af.
After 6mths my dr just said just relax it will happen, which may be true but I feel if my cycles are this bad now at my age it could only get harder as time passes. Not mention we don't want a huge age gap between the children.
So where do I go from now should I go back to the dr or should I just keep trying?
Sorry to ramble, I'd just like some advice from the people who have been.
I'd be so grateful for any suggestions.
Thanks ladies

with symptoms like that has your Dr discussed possible endo or maybe adhesions? Your ovulation and AF pain sounds similar to what I used to have (it took us 18 months of TTC Caitlin - I was 27 at the time)
I had a laproscopy and D&C in March to remove endo at the back of my uterus and I've never felt better! We're looking forward to TTC #2 later this year and have been told that any more than 6 mths that we are to get in touch a with fertility specialist

I was thinking endo too, or PCOS (I also have endo).
Otherwise can I be cheeky and suggest you go back on the pill/injection?

I've thought about going on the pill for that reason too!
My Dr suggests either getting the merino implant thing and give up trying or taking nurofen(with barely takes the edge off the pain) and relax.
My dr lovely but I tell her what's going on with my body and the problems we have had and she ask's "So what direction do you what to go with this?" and I have no idea so basicly say I want to know what's going on and I want it "fixed", she said it's normal for some women and we will just see how it goes. It's like she hears me but doesn't listen.

In that case, I'd make a plan in your own head and then take it to your GP. Most experts recommend seeing a fertility specialist after 12 mths, but you have both your age and the fact that you have children already on your side, it suggests that whilst there might be a problem, it's probably fixable.
Maybe tell your GP that you would like a referral to a GYN in the first instance to deal with the pain/AF issues, they can talk to you about endo and other possible causes and then once you've addressed that, he or she will be able to talk to you about the fertility side of things and refer you on if neccessary.
I saw a GYN when we were TTC the gremlins for reasons unrelated to TTC, but he was able to give me some general TTC help and organise preliminary fertility testing when things were taking longer than anticipated.

What you describe sounds like endo. I had it, after laparoscopy to remove it promptly conceived (been nearly 2 yrs TTC and I was over 35 too). I was really cross GP hadn't picked up on the endo (took seeing a gyn for recurrent thrush to diagnose it - another possible endo symptom by the way).
It is NOT normal to have significant pain with AF or ovulation. This is a symptom of something wrong. Do not let your GP brush you off with ' women just have to put up with it' - that is so not true - but sadly GPs often STILL don't know about endo. Get a referral to a GYN or go private if you can afford it.
Under 35, after 12 mths of TTC, (over 35, 6 mths TTC) its recommended to see a specialist to find out why. It is not acceptable for your GP to say 'lets just wait and see'. Request investigation into possible causes / get a referral.
Good luck.
