We have not had a good week this week. Every night she has been a mess from about 5.30 on and has been inconsolable by about 6. She's been restless at night, crying on and off and one night screamed for 2 hours which she simply has never done before. We'd never heard her cry like that.

Growing? Teeth? Sick?

I do know no one can answer I'm just really frustrated

Silly me almost though they'd be over these insanely unsettled patches by 20 months!

I think that we finish dealing with the insanely unsettled patches once they leave home and probably not even then I still call my mum when things are rough, I just communicate it a bit better now.

I hope it passes quickly and that she is back to being her beautiful, sweet self soon.

If you ask my DH even I haven't gotten over those insanely unsettled patches!

Ah, but I hope things improve for you soon, 'cause that sounds like a rotton week.

Oh no, looks like the cranial osteopathy hasn't worked wonders after all chick

But in saying that they do have rough patches, be it teeth or growth spurt ...or just coz they can

The night rocking has completely stopped though?

Big hugs from us!

Take Care

Have you tried giving her pamol if it is teething? That's what normally sends Miss M into a tiz.

Hopefully she settles down soon for you!

YES the osteopath HAS worked wonders! She is teething. We'll she has hugely swollen gums, 3 aweful runny poos a day causing a rash and pamol helps so I'd say it is teething.

She is STILL a totally different kid despite this patch. She is really settled during the day, just isn't coping with extras when she is tired this week.

Edited to add that no treatments can help with teething...that just has to run it's course.

Oh sorry and re: the night rocking, she still does it for a maximum of 30mins some nights but it just because she loves pretending to an animal. She certainly doesn't go for hours like she used to so I am not at all worried about that. They say most kids this age spend time awake at night.

Oh I can vouch for kids staying awake at night darl, Lucas was up from midnight till 4.30 ....no screaming, just very playful and not tired ...I'm not sure how he does it, he was up at 7 bursting full of energy again ...meanwhile I'm like a walking zombie!!!!!

Good to hear the night rocking has decreased.
