Has she just been having one? Hannah was about 22 months I think, it happened when we got rid of her dummy. And I kept getting told that was early. I hope for your sake its just a phase

far out Anna all I can say is try not to let her, just for your sanity really...from my work experience it seems pretty early, normally after two, or later...you might have to really encourage quiet time in her room if she wont sleep...or you will probably find she gets grouchy..

She goes to bed every day and is happy to be in bed (she generally stays in there for about an hour) but I just don't know what else to do cause how can you 'make' a toddler sleep?? If she's takend for a drive she'll fall asleep then she cna be transferred into bed, but that's a pain in the butt (plus her nana's ahve her Mon - Fri so it's a bit much asking them to do that.

9 times out of 10 she's happy the whole time (even through to bed time at night)

hmmm...maybe these school holidays will be a good time to try and get her settled again

Maybe it would help having a set bedtime? Not sure if you do, I seem to remember you telling me that it varies depending on what you are doing? Not sure if that would help anyway lol!!

Tape her eyelids shut???

Yeah, she does have a set bedtime (give or take 1/2 hour) but MIL doesn't stick to it very well, she "gets distracted" and I can't say anything to her or she gets offended. I've figured that she as long as she is happy then I'll just have to accept it. She dropped from 2 sleeps to one really early so I'm not too surprised that this is happening

charli seems to be dropping her afternoon sleep too! which i'm not very happy about as i like the one on one time with jack. jack didn't drop his sleep until 2.5yrs or so. it's a pain because if we are in the car she'll fall asleep within 2mins but i can't transfer her because she wakes up and that's the end of it. i generally put her in her cot anyway and see what happens, alot of the time she plays for a while and then wants out

our kids go to bed at the same time everynight, give or take 30mins

James dropped to one sleep about 8mths old I think but he still has at least at day care he sleeps for about an hour but at home he will asleep around 2 at home. I would say that maybe it's a phase she might be having more teeth come through or something.

Maya was 20-22 mths or so, it was definitely before she moved to the Over 2's at daycare coz I had a prob when she was in the Under 2's they insisted on a day sleep and then I'd have her up half the night. But she was never a big day sleeper from the start, I'd get 45 min power naps from her at the very most.

The gremlins seem to have much higher sleep needs, and they are going to be having daytime naps till they start school if I have anything to do with it lol, I *need* the break!
