I was reading somewhere that they need to be around 2 or older to get the signal from the brain to the other parts .....So guessing our mothers who had us toilet trained at 18 months (LOL) were just really good timing or trained themselves....????
Guess no point in trying til then....cant be bothered with any tidy ups that are unnecessary!!

Jake has been in undies for 2 weeks now, and after a few accidents in week one, we have been accident free for about 10 days fingers crossed. Both #1 and #2's, he tells me he needs to go, I help with clothes and he's away laughing. He is even waking at night to go, which is super. However, I have been doing nappy free afternoons for ages now, and he went on the potty ok but wouldn't go near the loo and tried undies a few times over summer, and that was a disaster.

I think the key was just waiting till he was a bit older, and understood better. I would far rather wait and him be that much older and the muckest part only last a very short time, than it go on and on for months. However, every child is different.
