Andrew is at the stage where he is learning to wipe his own bum now. I know he does it at preschool so he can do it at home and even better I don't have to hear "WIPE MY BOTTOM PLEASE". But we are going through so much toilet paper.

Any ideas on how I can get him to use just a little bit???

What we have done with ayja is break off a few pieces and pre-fold them and leave them on the toilet roll holder for her, mainly cos she can't actually reach with her little arms to get the toilet paper properly and was ending up with the whole roll unravelled on the floor. but that might help him to learn to only use a small amount.

Ethan started to learn with those flushable wipes. I would leave the packet near the loo where he could reach. He would have a go first, then I would check to make sure that he had done a good job. now he is onto loo paper. DH taught him how many squares to take and to fold them..

WE have this problem too! Charlotte pulls off huge amounts and creates these giant thick wads that have no hope of wiping her little bottom Thats a good idea about ripping off some in advance! Might have to try that.

Can he count? You could tell him he gets as many as his age (hopefully he'd grow out of that idea before he gets too old!!)

Our toilet paper troubles are with Kryssi - we often leave the door open for Briona's easy access but Kryssi has developed a fascination with the bowl and with the paper - gives a new definition of "rewind"!!
