Can anyone help me???? Riley, my little angel has reached that stage at 2 1/4 where, she just sticks to a subject like glue, for ages she just repeats over and over her request, be it wanting to see someone in particular, or wanting yoghurt for pudding. I try to explain timeframes, you know "we can't see so and so because their working, you will see them tomorrow, etc" or "you can have yoghurt after your shower". But this doesn't work, in the end I end up getting a bit stressed and stating very firmly "enough, please stop saying....." Is there a better way to handle this, has anyone got any ideas?

Ignore it? Distract her with something else? Might work some of the time.

Jake is still a shocker for this, I just keep distracting him and asking him questions about something else, that works abot 60% of the time, which is better than nothing..

OMG I still have this going at 3 3/4. Andrew is always going on about something that happened a few months ago. It is really annoying and I try and change the subject but he can usually get back onto it

Jake has this REALLY really annoying one, "up the lallah (ladder)" when we go past this place that was a building site months and months ago, and once, when we walked past, he saw a man up a damn ladder, and now every bloody time we go past, its "mummy, up the lallah, up the lallah!" and on and on and on until you say "yes, jake, up the lallah" then he goes, "No, mummy, LaDDer"
Every freaking time
