So, all the good pregnancy hormones are now gone. My hair's falling out and my hayfever has returned with a vengence.

While pregnant I couldn't take anything for hayfever but was fortunate enough to have blocked nose up until now. I'm BF and am wondering if I can take something for my sneezing and runny nose?

My doctor said a nasal spray was okay when I was pregnant and I'm now i'm gonna need something while breastfeeding too - so I figured that'd still be okay - would be interested to see what others have been told.

I am pretty sure that nasal are ok becasue they are site applied there is a much smaller amount of the active ingrediant needed, which means a minimal mount would even make it into the blood stream, let alone to the milk. i would check with the pharmacist first, and then with the doctor if the pharmacist says no (as they tend to be a little more boowa on that sort of thing).

I got told during pregnancy by a doctor that I could use a nasal spray (a non-antihistamine one), but then when I was breastfeeding the pharmacist said I could only use eye drops for hayfever - even tho itchy eyes werent an issue. So I guess it just depends on who you talk to.
