I was worried about that with my last pregnancy because i did not have that with my first - but i found i was still having alot of pain at about this stage as everything is stretching and all theh ormones macke muscles soft and relaxed.. so you can strain things you didn't even know you had! lol. but check with your midwife if you are concerned, as they can get to the bottom of any probs or reassure you that it's all normal. It always pays to check.

About that stage in my pregnancy I had period painish cramps and I was told that it can sometimes just be the uterus ajustng to the changes going on.
You should probably take it easy and if it doesn't settle down in a day or two see your doc just for a bit of piece of mind.
I got cramps from 6weeks then aby 10weeks and they got to a point where I couldn't move because of the pain, I ended up in hospital, I was terrified thinking I was going to lose the baby, it turned out my uterus was just being irritated by a small cyst on one of my tubes which they easily removed. My doc said that it's very common to have slight irritations to the uterus in the first trimester and it's best to get them checked out sooner rather than later if they don't settle down.

The lower back and hip pain is prob just everything stretching like Janine said. All your ligaments relax during pregnancy so your joints move more - it is esp panful in pelvis, low back and hips from changes in posture and weight, and those joints dont normally have much movement. It is usually worst at your stage and again at the end. I found that I had painful pelvis and hips (especially worse with a physical job) early on and a sacroiliac belt helped a little to hold everything together. But by about 16 weeks or so it had settled down. If its still quite painful see if you can get a referral to an obstetric physio from your midwife.
Oops, didnt mean to ramble on for so long - maybe I'm missing work!

I had lots of cramps and stuff. i thought it was my period coming......well, it wasn't obviously. anyway, i don't think it's anything to worry too much about, but if you are concerned, go to the doctor and get everything checked out.

I had the cramps too, just stretching apparently. But ditto what the other girls said, better be safe than sorry and get it checked out if you are worried!
