I'm just wondering if it's a phase or something when all your child does is whine and whine and whine all day long?!?! If so, how long does it last?

Alyssa isn't talking yet so I imagine she's frustrated she can't communicate by telling me what she wants, so she points and whines or just looks and me a whines....it's sooooo annoying!

I don't have the patience to outlast that 'stage' IMO it's a training situation. Kid whines, Mum figures out what they want and coaches them on what to say. When the kid says it in a nice voice, then they get it Does that sound harsh or what lol.

Briona responds really well to this. Hannah sometimes keeps on whining at which point she is warned and then sent to bed with a book so she can have a break (cause for her it's usually a tiredness thing).

We are also right there at the moment. Getting a bit better as she is starting to realise that she needs to start talking or showing me more what she wants.

"training" is a bit much to expect when they've only just turned 1!

Caitlin is whinging A LOT at the moment too, and last night I just noticed all FOUR top teeth are pushing through! OUCH! I think I'd be really whingey too lol

She might be a bit unsettled as you've just started up work again so she's bound to be a bit clingy.

I was gonna say that too....Zaara is reaching her terrible two's and whines all the time.....she screams when she does get her way and drops on the floor (no matter where she is) and cries!!

Arrrrggggg.....what happened to my sweet little girl??

I ignore her when she is like that, and tho she is starting to talk a little now she whines...and I tell her to stop and use your words. She does stop occationally and tells me.....other days I leave her on the floor crying!!

Am I mean mum???

Yeah I guess it could be a combination of teething and clingyness...wish she had a mute button though

If she's sitting down with a book and starts pointing at the pictures, you have to answer every time and say what it is she's pointing at otherwise she'll whine until you do!

Got one of them here too. DH looked after her today and was soooooooooo over it by the end of the day. She has been back to constant grizzling for the last couple of weeks. It is next to impossible to get anything done.
