Ava is going in for gromments and possible adenoid removal. I have no idea what to expect afterwards...what were your experiences?

She has had upwards of 10 ear infections and has been on countless antibiotics :( Fingers crossed the grommets will change all of that!

Hi, If you have a look in the special needs topic there is a post called ears, ears, ears that a few of us have put their experiences in . I have done 4 grommets and 2 tonsillectomies with the adenoids taken out as well (so 2x grommets with each boy). If you want to know anymore PM ne and I can tell you what I have been through.

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

My care child has had grommets at 14-15 months old. Surgery was 8 mins long.

She bounced back really well. No more infections, now she can hear too!!

She has to get tonsils & adenoids removed at 2 or something like that.
