I've had very minimal cramp and BH throughout this pregnancy.

Wednesday was fine, went for my swim etc and then Thursday morning I woke up with cramp. Its nasty cramp, way worse than any period cramp I get and I still have it now. So thats a good 28hrs and counting of cramp. Last night I got 3ish hours of sleep cause of it.

I can barely walk cause that makes it so bad. I'm having a clean out as well so thats really annoying having to walk to the toilet all the time. I've tried panadol and it does take the edge off it for maybe an hour but its still there.

Its mostly in my bump but there is some in my back as well. This little guys movement have upped by alot too and those hurt like a biarch

I rang my mw and she said shes gonna refer me to physio.. I don't really see why. Its not muscle pain or anything like that. I've been very active this pregnancy and I'm pretty fit as a result of that. I had pelvis and bad back issues with Daniel so I know what that kinda pain feels like, its nothing like that.

Other than that shes said heat packs and pop panadol. She also wants me to up my water for my kidneys. Does anyone have any other ideas? Sudden constant pain and lack of sleep is gonna get me down very fast.

Owie you poor thing Didn't want to read and run!

I had what I believe was irritable uterus last time, which was very painful, but it was always intermittent cramping, never anything sustained. Could it be some pulled ligaments around the uterus? Dunno if that would feel like cramping though? Hope it starts improving soon!

I don't think I've pulled anything.

I had a little read about irritable uterus and some of it sounds like it but some doesn't. Its cramp, its not accompanied with belly tighting about 95+% of the time which this site www.irritable-uterus.com talks about.

Yup, what I had was basically mild contractions, so definitely had the tightening as well as the painful cramping! I'd be tempted to try your GP? They might at least be able to give you some better pain relief (that's suitable for pregnancy). Don't know if they'd be much more help than your MW though!

Hey Stacey, sorry to hear you're in pain and not sleeping

I had cramps/stomach pain around 25 weeks. I knew it wasn't contractions or labour as there was no tightening at all, it just felt different. I got it checked by my ob and he said it was renal colic - ie wind!! It was really really uncomfortable though, worst in my back and round my front too. I found doing some yoga poses helped, but they were lying on my back, probably not something you want to try at this stage of pregnancy. You could try childs pose though (with a pillow or two under your chest to give your belly room).

I also ended up with a UTI and severe kidney pain the following week, they weren't sure whether they were related but the kidney pain was quite distinct, feel like someone was sticking a spear in my back!

I was given quite strong painkillers for that but they can't be used in late pregnancy (the particular ones I had).

Hope you get to the bottom of it soon
