Im 33 weeks tomorrow and for a few weeks now I have been so incredibly thirsty. I seem to want to drink ALL the time.

I don't think it's gestational diabetes as I have been tested for that 3 times so far this pregnancy and always had normal results.

I will mention it to my specialist but afraid they'll just send me for another diabetes test.

Is this a normal part of pregnancy? Does it happen to anyone else?

I try to drink water as much as possible but sometimes only juice will cut it which is not good either but I'm just soo thirsty.

If you have juice cravings then you can try mixing it with water, try mixing it with soda water as well that is quite nice and no worse than water.

I don't recall being super thirsty but then it was BLOODY hot over here so whatever I was drinking was probably normal for the heat.

I craved water throughout my whole pregnancy. It was actually a PITA cos the craving was all the time like I was constantly thirsty.

I was always really really thirsty throughout my pregnancy, I always had water with me everywhere but got sick of drinking it, I then moved onto ice which was sooo good (I used to sit in front of the TV with a huge bowl of ice and crunch away, drove DH nuts) and then also had loads of ice blocks, jucies especially.. mmm... could go one of those now actually!

I drunk HEAPS of water while pregnant. Could easily put back 3/4litres a day kinda thing.... Everything was normal for me though, so dunno, might just be a weird craving thing.

Only annoying thing about it was I had to pee ALLLLLLLLLL The time

Me too, I have been super thirsty right through, and have juice cravings(which I never really drank before). I have to drink water at night when I wake up too - at least a big glass or two!
Pretty normal as your body is working over time and has to produce more blood and fluid etc.

Thanks ladies, Im glad to know its not just me

Ive been trying to drink water but I hate water so it's hard so Im making up jugs of water with a tiny bit of lime flavouring and downing them in litres it seems! Also got some ice blocks etc trying to curb the juice cravings but sometimes nothing works like juice (I think I have a bit of a juice addiction lol)

And yes it certainly doesn't help with the peeing thing

I craved water when preg...........when not preg I struggle to force myself to drink any water at all.

My baby loves water too. and I cant help wonder if it has something to do with my water addiction. He will easily drink a mini pump bottle of water a day (hes 10months old) and skulls like hes dying of thirst, even if hes only just had a drink 10mins ago and is breastfed still.......be interesting if there was a link.

I kinda miss that I loved water
