I dont dispute that for a moment Popstress, but in my case the sonographer had a student with her and was so busy explaining everything clinical to her, that she hardly said two words to me or DH. I personally believe (rightly or wrongly) that given they charge us $70+ for the scan, the least that they can do is be polite and make conversation and ask whether we would like to know or not!

I'm guessing you had the same sonographer that I had (youngish male). He was very convinced about the sex of this baby. VERY convinced. As in NO DOUBT ABOUT IT, big grin etc etc. (He was really good though and we had discussed it before I even got on the bed about whether we wanted to know or not. I'd said if you could see clearly with no gymnastics etc - apparently baby was "presenting" perfectly as soon as he got the wand on me )
