Has anyone had this during their pregnancy? And did you take medication for it?

No worries, and hopefully more ladies show up with help - i'm no good as i've been dealing with my own depression for years now and have a good set of strategies and supports in place, so i was able to avoid medication and the worst of the bad feelings.

Yes I had depression during pregnancy.
I was referred to Maternal Mental Health who are AWESOME!!! And I was taking high dosages of Fish Oil tablets (6 a day) which helped to level me out and give me more clarity. I still take the Fish Oil even now and haven't had to go back on AD's at all.

Hi
Yep depression hit bad when I was about 20 weeks and yep I was medicated. Came off AD's about 4 months ago. They worked a treat and didnt seem to affect baby at all. MMH were brilliant as well. I actaully went to see MMH first and she told me which doctor would be most sympathetic an to go to her for referral etc. I think having a good doctor is a very important step. Just talking to people was a very big thing for me. I had a couple of friends that werent particularly close friends who I talked to and now they are both very good freinds and they know all of what I went thru.
