Topic: Pressure Posted: 04 February 2011 at 4:45pm |
Ok, so it started an hour or so ago, I just felt intense pressure down below, sort of like you need to go to the loo, I also have a crampy sensation and lower back pain, I am now feeling really anxious.
The pressure feeling is horrid - is it normal??

I think if I still feel like it soon I will - its odd, it almost feels like the urge to push but not that intense.

Is baby engaged? He/she might be moving into place or might have changed position a bit which could put pressure on different areas.
I'd definitely call the midwife, even just for peace of mind!

Yea very common, it's probably the pressure of the baby's head settling further down. With my recent pg'cy, I had that on and off in the last 3 weeks as the baby decended and ascended in the pelvis.

Sounds possibly like baby has engaged but I recall the pressure being quite intense, the need to push/pee, crampy and sore lower back when I was in labour so I'd ring mw just in case...
