apparently it is quite normal for you not to feel your baby after 30 weeks.. hope his movements pick up anyway

If you are worried about movements, definitely give your backup midwife a call. You should still be feeling movements after 30 weeks, however they may not feel as big as before as baby is getting more confined in there.

great to hear al is o.k. I read that shining a tourch on your belly, close up will get them moving. i tried this when preggie with DS1 abd it worked. He kicked and moved. So cool. Good luck with everything.

Neither tbh, my mw asked me every appointment until the last couple of weeks (38 and 39 (she came at 39)) if I was still feeling 10+ a day!

Also I'd be ringing too! My dd was normally quite an active wee thing but she would have about 1-2 days 'off' a week where she would barely move (only hiccups) and nothing would make her move! I rung the mw the first 3x then we worked out the pattern. It started at 28 weeks. Was nice to have my mind put at ease though!

not sure where you heard that? You should be feeling 12 movements within 12hrs and if not you should let your MW know ASAP. The movement changes from kicks and punches to more jabbing, stretching movements as bub runs out of room in there but you should still definitely feel them moving!

Glad all was well rachelsea

bottom line,if you notice anything out of the ordinary,or even just have a "feeling" something isn't right, call your mw,its better to be safe than sorry.
And you should be getting 10 movements all the way through, they might slow down a bit,and they might not be kicks but rather prods or a bum sticking in the air,but they should still be moving

Glad it worked out ok Rach, although I think you said you had monitoring when I saw you on monday lol

I was most certainly feeling both babies heaps after 30 weeks, it's just maybe not the leaping around stuff cos there's less room. Total rubbish you feel them less lol

Oh whoops hehe didn't realise my thread was still going

I also hadn't heard about it being normal to not feel your baby after 30wks. I certainly usually feel my bubs ALL the time. Definitely not kicks anymore, but big squirms and stretchy movements. After his quiet weekend he is certainly making up for it this week hehe.
The mw said to ring any time I'm worried about anything at all.
I should try counting how many movements I actually feel a day, probably a million

DS 2yrs
