Same here. I believe it is definitely the heat, that makes it hard for us all to sleep. But I noticed my DD's back molar is starting to come through as well, so that might be something else to consider (if Arianne hasn't had them yet...?)

We have a similar issue too.
Ds will not stay in his bed, and will just get up and trash his room for hours.. :/ And I mean really trash. He even unscrewed the handles off all his drawers.

She is still awake grrr!!!!

I don't want to cut out her day sleep completely because she does get really moody in the afternoon and then overtired and I am back at square one.

I really can't handle her being up this late its driving me mad. So hard when you are doing it on your own

Have you tried sitting with her in bed until she falls asleep?

I have to do this with Taylah everyday or she wont nap.

Not so much at night if her day puts her to bed.

I just put Taylah down, sing some songs, we talk about her day then i tell her its sleep time now. And i wont talk to her again. She keeps talking for maybe 5 minutes then crashes out and i have to slowly and quietly sneak out.

It is annoying and sometimes takes up to 30 minutes but better than listening to screaming for hours.

If she wakes i do this all over again lol. But she is normally asleep again within 5 minutes

I so sympathise Natalie coz I am also a single mum. I got so desperate that on Monday I took her to the doctor for something else and while I was there I asked for a script for phenegan to get her to sleep. It worked (sort of) - she is only taking an hour or so to get to sleep instead of 2 plus hours. I have also put a cd player in her room and am playing relaxing music to her which partly blocks out the noise of me doing stuff round the house after she goes to bed. And I readjusted our bedtime routine so she has at least 15 solid minutes of me reading and talking to her before she goes to sleep. Plus I stand in the room for 5-10 minutes with my back to her before I ease out.

I hope something works for you soon coz I know just how frustrating and tiring it is, especially when you are on your own

I have been blessed, tonight she went to bed and fell asleep before 7.30pm.

I have spent 1/2 hour reading to her and she would still scream and just crave attention. She was always good at going to sleep by herself. I don't want her getting use to me being in her room waiting for her to fall asleep.

It sure does do your head in. I hope she will get better when we are living in our own house just us two.
