Hi ladies, I'm lacking ideas at the moment of fun things to do around home (or other free things) with my 16mo Son.  What fun things do you do during the day?  I've tried playing with playdoh and he seems to just want to eat it (luckily I've got a homemade one tho) and drawing with large crayons and he also like to try to eat them!!

We go for a walk along the beach or to the park on most days too.

Thanks

wooden puzzles, blocks, cars. Posting things, get an ice cream container or similar and cut a hole in the top and let him post things in it, maybe even find things to post, like lids from milk bottles etc. picking up leaves and sticks in the garden is a hit here, no idea why but all mine have been attracted to stuff, especially stones.

Most local libraries run a storytime for the littlies that is free.

Mostly though my kids were just happy to hang out and "help" me.

I mostly let my son entertain himself lol. Pottering around outside in the garden is always the best.

But for fun activities - baking - they can help mix, pour things into the bowl, if it's something that is rolled and cut then give them a little rolling pin and their own little bit of dough to roll out. Doing dishes - fill up the sink with water and bubbles and let them go for it (towels on floor required ) Painting - sounds like he'll probably eat a bit though lol. Blowing/chasing bubbles. Make a house under chairs or something with a sheet hanging over (good for running through and playing peekaboo).
