Topic: 2 Year old girl gift Posted: 17 October 2010 at 6:00pm |
Hi,
My best friends girl is 2 soon, she recently got my son an amazing gift, which was really sweet.
So what can I get, this little girl loves all normal girl things I guess, trouble is she has grandparents who spoil her rotten and has heaps of stuff, just trying to think of something nice but different if possible.

My daughter loves handbags and there are some really pretty ones around for small girls. You could get something like that and fill it with girly stuff - DD's is filled with a tube of clips, hair ties, a beaded necklace, some rugby cards (from the weetbix packet, random I know but she loves them), a couple of fisher price little people and a bright red ferrai matchbox car.
I usually stick with nice books for birthdays. Books are expensive and my DD loves being read to.
Hope that helps.

Ill list a heap of things that my girl is into. Also some ideas we saw at Toy World in the weekend she would love
Puzzles - DD is obsessed with these at the moment
Books
Magna Doodles- you can get little ones, also ones that come with books etc.
Kitchen play stuff
Anything to do with Dolls
Blocks
Also Toyworld had things to catch insects in etc, i know my DD would love these but depends if the girl is into outdoor stuff.
If im stuck for presents for girls who have everything i buy ornaments, i get cute little fairy ones or things similar to that. Also another idea could be a jewelry box. I know they are things they wouldnt use yet but good for decoration in a room etc.

How much were you thinking of spending?
My neice just got this art box and she loves it. It is $55 though so a little expensive but not sure how much you spend or if you could go in with someone else.

All good ideas, she already has most the stuff suggested but maybe not a little handbag full of goodies
Where can you get little kid handbags from?

Dress ups!!!
Otherwise I just got a beautiful hand painted plate for my friends little girls first birthday, the lady who made it did a FANTASTIC job, it had the little girls name and little pictures (flowers, butterflies, bugs, dolphins etc) all around the outside, I got her to write "Happy 1st birthday, Love The Smiths" on the bottom as well. I love it! The lady who did it doesn't have any listed on felt at the moment, but I'm sure she would do one if you sent her an email?
I think it is really nice "treasure" present that she will hopefully have forever!! Linky to felt
