So Eden at 28 mths is still in a cot. She has never tried to climb out of it and seems happy enough but i cant keep her in it forever. So i have been looking at kids beds for her. There are so many out there though...
My boys have bunks and we brought them years ago before we had kids, they are the metal ones with wooden posts. I think i want a pretty girlie one for eden though.
Is there anything you think i should look out for? Any brands you think are better or types that are better.
I went for a king single trundler bed with inner sprung mattresses. I found the trundler bed really great as it meant I didn't have to put up a roll guard as if she rolled out she would roll out onto the trundler bed. Also the bed was too high for her to climb up on at first, so the trundler bed was great for stepping on to climb onto the bed. I figured it will be great once she is old enough to have friends to stay as an extra bed, and also it converts her single to a queen once she is old enough for a bigger bed.
We just gott Caden a white regular sized slat bed the other week, it came with a removable safety bar and we got him a nice innersprung mattress.
The bed has a big headboard and a footboard. Its from Harvery Normans.
I got King Singles for both of the younger ones. Reason for that was it would see them through until they are teenagers... and considering that I seem to breed tall children.. I figured they'd need it. I don't have problems at all buying linen... I watch out for sales and buy them from either Warehouse, Briscoes or Kmart. They all have really cool duvet covers for them too.
Forgot to say that I haven't bothered with headboards for their beds... we don't even have one.

We got a bed on trademe and they shipped it to us. Was pretty cheap and very solid. It was just a single but me and my bro survived in a single so I don't see why Daniel can't.
