We are off to Samoa in 4 weeks and I will be at that in-between stage - 'is she pregnant or just fat'.

Seeing as I am going to be pregnant over Summer I figure I may as well invest in a pair of maternity togs or a tankiki. Can anyone recommend a good shop or online store that I should buy from? I am nervous to buy over the internet but if they come recommended then great!

I got a tankini from Maternity Direct (bought it online) I was very nervous about it as I am plus sized and my boobs were monstrous during pregnancy...but the fit was perfect and I loved it through summer (#2 was born in Feb)

I got this one

There is a shop in Merivale called Savoir opposite the mall in Papanui road. It specialises in maternity underwear and swimsuits...

good luck finding something nice :)

I bought the same one from Maternity direct as MummyFreckle and it has been great, I also just wore my old bikini as for both pregnancies I have not been that heavily pregnant over summer, I was more "is she pregnant or just fat!!!!"

Great thread - I swim twice or more a week and am already looking really fat in my size 12 togs (I'm actually a 14 but speedos size me down). I was thinking of getting a pair of togs one size up and taking it from there.
The tankini looks awesome though. One of my friends swam in a bikini when she was 7 months plus. She was swimming up to the week before she gave birth (Lucy was 3 weeks early).

for people who bought the maternity direct ones, did you find they held up ok in chlorine? I swim at the pool a lot and I find cheaper togs tend to disintegrate pretty fast
