I am booked in for an induction on Sunday and because of my previous induction ending in an emergency c-section the hospital will only use the foley catheter induction. Has anyone had one of these? How was it and what was the outcome. I'm hoping for a better outcome than last time.

I was booked in for a foley catheter induction with my second in 2009 (because of previous c-section).   I didn't actually get one because I was already 4CM dilated by the time I got to hospital. They will only use one if you're under 3CM dilated I believe and that's just to get you started. They wouldn't give me anything else to progress and because I was monitored the entire time and pretty much flat on my back I didn't get past 6CM and unfortunately I ended up with another c-section.   Because I didn't really speak up or choose to do things my way, like kneel on the floor when I really wanted to, then things didn't go the way I wanted them to.

From what I was told to expect from the foley catheter, it isn't painful and will be put in for 12 hours to dilate you past 3CM.
