I'd suggest $2 shop type places, they usually have cheapie baby supplies like bibs. Failing that, places like kmart have gorgeous super tiny little singlets (to make eveyone go ooohhhh and ahhhhhh) which are cheap (think you can buy multipacks even cheaper) - perhaps they could paint those if you can't find the bibs? Sounds like a cool idea - wish i'd thought of it! Have fun :)

Instead of having 40 of one type, why not do a mix and match. (ie singlets, bibs, pillow cases etc) That way you will get a chance to use them all.

Baby Factory have cheap baby bibs, the Richochet Baby brand. Although, white is a really terrible colour for bibs and 40 of them is alot to be stuck with!

You probably already know this but make sure you get fabric paint/pens as normal paint does not wash well and it goes really hard lol. I had about 40 people come to mine lol the more the merrier!

Even forty bibs of any colour is a lot - I have the worlds dribbliest baby and doubt I have forty. If Bubs didn't dribble much, you wouldn't use them often, only at mealtimes. I'd mix it up with a few other things too.

Have you looked online Trademe/ebay? Cinderella's idea is a good one. Have a good mix and then you get to have some of everything.
Great idea for a baby shower!!!! Sometimes those games they play can be a little bit sus in my books. I'm working with my bestie at the mo to figure out some ideas on fun things that the boys will want to be involved with too(I have a good group of male friends and don't want it too girly for their sakes... And mine lol)

What a great idea, I agree with the girls who said to get a mix of items to decorate though.
I had a refluxy dribbly baby and certainly wouldn't have gone through 40 bibs, I think I had 10 decent bibs which did me fine, so 40 would be overkill big time
Have fun at your baby shower though, sounds like it'll be a blast

Another option is to get 40 squares of fabric and get your guests to paint those then make them into a quilt (or get someone else to )
