From the info I can see, this is also known as ventolin. I was given oral ventolin at 31w when my waters broke and then via a drip at 32w when I was having sustained contractions. It didn't stop my wee boy from arriving early but he was perfectly healthy and a determined wee b*gger

With my second pregnancy I took ventolin from 28 - 34 weeks to avoid any contractions. I went full term (delivered at 39w) and had another very healthy boy. I only stopped taking it at 34 weeks as my obstetrician was happy for me to have the baby after that point.

The only possibly side effect on the baby that we spoke about was the chance that it could mean a bigger baby.. But in my case (trying to avoid a premmie), that was minor compared with premature labour.

I have taken ventolin (via inhaler) at different times in my life due to asthma, as far as I know it's safe to use during pregnancy if you're asthmatic so probably no need to worry

Good luck x

I've never had an issue with taking Salbutamol or ventolin while pregnant, I'm asthmatic as well, good to know it stops contractions!
