Hi All,

Just wondering if anyone has used Joanne Gimblett, a Wellington based midwife?

Have just had a chat to her, she sounds lovely.... just interested in your thoughts / experiences.

Many thanks!

Hi LuRo, I had Joanne when she was a student midwife tagging along with my main midwife. She was lovely and really supportive, especially during labour!

I thought at the time that she would make an awesome midwife and I wouldn't hesitate to contact her next time if the midwife I used with my daughter wasn't available

Thanks Janie!

She sounds lovely on the phone! Do you know they use Kenepuru hospital as well as Wellington? My last 2 were homebirths, but my GP has recomended a Hospital Birth this time as there have been quite a few miscarriages along the way.

Many thanks
Anna

Hiya, I am pretty sure that she is working with Sandy who was my midwife, which means that she should be using Kenepuru. I did most of my labouring at Kenepuru but had to transfer to Wellington for ventouse delivery. We transferred back to Kenepuru when little miss was 4 hours old.

Really sorry to hear of your miscarriages, I know how hard it is. Big congratulations on this pregnancy though, hopefully I will be joining you soon!
