i did have a thought about something like cryptosporidium, but then where on earth would he have picked it up, and the poos would be mega-nasty too.....hope the tests show something, or even better that it spontaneously resolves (unlikely I know!)

Flissty: what did the Dr. say was 'normal' if there is such a thing or more like when did she/he say you should be concerned?

I thought Jacob was 'normal' in that department but now I'm not sure. He usually does 4 - 6 a day but I thought that was because he eats like a pig and 1 or 2 are always nasty smelling. I had a week of 6-8 a day which wasn't fun. They're never solid but I put that down to still having heaps of formula. Eli's usually doing 2-4 a day.

I will be interested to hear what the Dr/ comes back with.

There is something called toddler diaorhrea (sp) where toddlers go through a phase of many runny poos. She said to get the tests done and come back in a week if he's still really pooey. She didn't really go into what was normal but did say that that amount of poos isn't normal (and his pooing has increased over the last 2 months which is why she wants to keep an eye on it). Only 6 today

Thanks for the info.

6!! Eeek, I hope your DH/DP shares the 'load' (mind the pun)? I hope it settles down for you.

The worst part is the sore bum part, I would say do some nappy off time but that could get very interesting

Yep, I let him have 20 minutes after each change and that's it - I'm not prepared to risk it past that!
