Just wondering if anyone else has been in the same boat and has any advice.

We've only rarely had trouble with leaky nappies etc, but lately my boy's nappies have been full to the point of leaking after a shorter time than usual. I know it's not standard leaking (we mostly use cloth) because the nappies are full and it has happened with the occasional disposable too. He's never been a heavy wetter.

Yesterday he went through four changes of clothes dues to leaking right through to his pants.

Anyone else had an increase in wet nappies at this age? He's been sick over the last few days - could that have had anything to do with it?

For now I guess I'll have to change him much more frequently.   I'm hoping I don't have to look into more cloth nappies as we don't really have the spare $$$ for that.

Yeah Jake hit a stage like that. Tried woolen soakers? If you're handy with the needles you could knit some but I just brought some opshop 100% woolen jerseys for $1 each, cut the arms off and sewed them into pants then you just need to get some lanolin spray to help with the waterproof factor though I never lanolised mine and they work great. He wears them day and night especially when hes drinking alot or wetting more. Good luck hun its frustrating!!

Thanks Babe, that's a good idea.

You said it happened with Jake too - did it last long?

We are going through this at the moment. Jack would wake at about 5am and be wet through - we was in pockets with 1 hemp trifold and 2 MF inserts! We moved to disposables at night at it seems to have fixed that problem.

Although today I notoced that he wet through his MCNs alot quicker than normal. I changed to a disposable for the day and again it fixed the problem.

I am not sure why it is happening. Someone suggested that it would be due to the colder weather, it was causing him to wee more.
