Hi Everyone,

I am due in February and I have no idea how to pick a midwife.
We don't really want anyone too airy fairy.

Does anyone have any recommendations for midwives in West Auckland?

Cheers

Robyn

I had an awesome midwife and her name is Lolly Freeman but I think she's on maternity leave herself now!! Planning for number two now and hoping to find someone as awesome as Lolly! Thinking of going ith Karen and Dee possibly (can't recall the name of their midwife organisation though!). Karen, Lolly and Bunny used to make up West Auckland Midwives. I;m not pregnant yet (that I know of!) so I have some time to do some research!

Frann dove is great, we've used her for both our babies - first one nearly 4, second just 13 weeks. She's based just across the road from waitakere hospital. Definitely not airy fairy, which is what we liked about her. We've recommended her to friends and they've found her t o be really good too
