Hello,

My name is Alice Persson-Riess. I moved to Dunedin last year and am originally from Canada. I am currently studying my first year of Midwifery at Otago Polytechnic and one of my papers requires me to find four women as "follow throughs". A follow through simply means that I would follow a woman through her pregnancy, whether she is 20 weeks along or 40 weeks along (any stage in her pregnancy). I would essentially be as involved as you want me to be, as this is YOUR journey and I respect and honour your experience.

How it works
I would attend your antenatal appointments along with your midwife. If you felt comfortable enough I could also potentially attend your birth. As I said earlier, I will be as involved as you would like me to be. My role would be supporting you and reflecting, as well as gaining your perspective of your pregnancy journey.

I would be keen to meet up for a cup of tea/coffee and we could have a chat.

Please contact me if you are interested or know of any pregnant women in Dunedin.

Look forward to hearing from you
