Hello :)
I'm currently pregnant with my first. Just wondering how many people have had/got DVDs of scans and how you go about getting them? I get my scans at horizon radiology and only received 1 pic each scan, would love a DVD to send to grandparents.
Also where in Wellington can I go for a 3d scan later on and how much are they?
Thanks :)

Perhaps ask if they can sell you a disk of all the pictures. The clinic I go to is another company but they do a CD for $25, the lady said I could get it at the end of my scans with all the images they have on it. A 4d video (don't know why 4d, not 3d) is $190 where I go, so I'm not getting that, just the disk.

Pacific radiology do the NT scan to disk. I got about 60 images on a cd for ours. I'm not sure about 3D scans through the radiology places - I thought in Wellington you needed a medical reason to get one, but that may have changed. We have a private obstetrician and get 3D scans with each appointment which is awesome

Horizon gave me DVDs of the 12 wk scan and the first anomaly scan, but that one wasn't very good - baby in a bad position to see everything; I haven't even bothered to rewatch the DVD, it was that bad. No nice side-on views, you see.

When I went back a couple of weeks later, to get the last bits checked for anomalies, the scan was brilliant! I could even see all four chambers of the heart, pumping away! And the limb bones, brilliantly. Sadly (for me, and my partner, who didn't come to this one), I didn't get a DVD of it, just a couple of pictures. I guess I assumed. Wish I had had one - I would have made a lot of use of it.
