new or second hand?

We havnt bought anything yet.............but I think trademe is probably where we will get a few things from, If I bought a 2nd hand cot I would buy a brand new mattress, I think things like high chairs, change tables are all good second hand, or a pram, I guess it depends on how many you plan to have in the future, I have a 16 year old so I have nothing from when he was little, but we think we might have at least one more so if you think about it lasting for a few children it might not seem like a bad idea to buy quality new?
