Topic: Lil boy part infection Posted: 02 October 2008 at 9:30am |
OK, so my lil man has been very sensitive at the end of his willy for a couple of weeks now. took him to A & E last Wednesday as i had checked inside the night before and it was fiery red. Dr said it looked like it could be the start of an infection. Gave us antibiotics & he finished those this am. He is still sensitive & when i pulled the skin back to have another look inside last night, it still looked very red, & he still squirms every time i wipe it. Is it normal to be red inside the tip? Also, does anyone have any advice on what i should do? Dr said to take him back to the GP once antibugs finished to check it is cleared but i'm sitting round home or near to home due to waiting for labour to start. Dr is half hour away....... please help...

Daniel gets infections there pretty regularly. Doc usually gives us a cream that is usually used for treating infections in the eye and we put that on 4 times a day and it clears it up really quick. Can't remember what its called though!

Benjy's generally looks quite red around the tip of his foreskin, but its not sensitive when I clean it and he certainly doesn't hesitate to play with it, so if this is the case with Vincent I'd be getting him checked out again. Its not the sort of thing you'd want to leave in case it gets worse.
Hehe, I was back and forth to Drs and hospital and Drs again with Ella a week before Benjy made an appearance, even sleeping on the floor in her room! I'm sure all that stress helped him along!

lol Mel, thanks. Yea he often gets a red tip on the foreskin & put cream on it & it goes away. but this is deep inside & he hates me cleaning it. Doesn't bother him toooo much otherwise. except when he is sitting on our hip, he tends to get a bit uncomfy i think with the pressure
