I used to slap Maya to wake her up, mean I know but as soon as she woke up she was fine, it was the only way to snap her out of them.

Must say I was impressed at Sienna telling me her bum was sore too, they've never been able to isolate pain before.

It was heartbreaking tho, I burst into tears I so badly wanted to be able to fix it, and I know how awful it is being bunged up

Ah yes, a very familiar story except that happens almost everytime Elle goes. Silly constipation.

I didn't want to threadjack either, but I'll so gladly jump in if we're sharing stories about how miserable we are about our kids being sick!
We've had such a lousy winter with bugs after bugs after bugs and now my kids are both sick again!
I took Benjy to the Dr with a list of complaints today. Both his ears are infected, one very close to rupturing apparently. He's got horrid conjunctivitis in both his eyes, sore weeping nappy rash on his bum and he had to have a 3 cm long splinter dug out of his hand!
Ella is coughing like crazy too.
I feel so sad for them. I just want them to be well and healthy for more than a couple of weeks at a time. Its not fair that they're feeling so cruddy more often than they're well at the moment.
I'm hugely thankful that its been nothing serious in the scheme of things but it breaks my heart seeing them miserable and not being able to make it better
Sorry to hear Sienna and Chiara are still not good Emma! That just sucks, poor girls!
Hope all our kids are much better really soon!

oh our poor wee babies! Sorry to hear everyone else has sick kids too.
Vincent is happy in himself much more now that he's had a few days of anti bugs. He got Conjunctivitis two days before his birthday & already had a rash on his face for a few weeks. not to mention this darn cough. Anyways, eyes cleared up thankfully otherwise dr said it could be viral & hang around for couple of weeks. rash cleared bout the same time, so am thinking it was the ending of the virus. He's had this cough since mid june/july. Anyways, first time went to dr & she said it normal to last 6-8 weeks. So when he wouldn't stop screaming the other night i took him to the dr the next day. He'd complained of a sore ear then started screaming on & off & wouldn't really settle for a couple of hours. After finally falling asleep, woke in pain with a cough 5 mins later. Anyways, dr next day said ears were dull. not inflamed but could be the starting of an infection. Now has ab's for cough & to knock ears on head. seems to have worked for the ears but the cough seems to be still there. see how he goes in a couple of days & if no improvement then we going to try an inhaler for a couple of weeks.
So after my long story, hears hoping he clears up soon. He is at least happy most the time which is a benefit. Hence why the screaming was so out of character for him! I hate not being able to make him feel better, & not knowing exactly what is going on. the other weeks he had a fever so high he threw up, but it cleared after a couple of days. they just seem to pick it up so easy
Oooops, sorry for the novel.

Well McKayla has the weirdest thing going on. Thursday last week she started with a fever and then said she was tired and slept for 3 hours ( this aint normal for my kid at all). She woke up fever gone but said she is still tired.
So she went to bed early. Then Friday came and same thing happened but she slept for 5 hours and went to bed early as well. Saturday she was chirpy but it was almost like she couldnt control her behaviour. She pushed boundaries left right and center. Both Grant and me took turns dealign with it. She must have been in time out about 15 times but like I said it was almost as she couldnt control it at all.
That night bed normal time and then at 10 she came through to us and was boiling hot most of the night. Gave medicine but that didnt bring it down. The next morning she was fine that afternoon started it again.
Monday fine and today so far fine.
The only other thing she complained about was on Sunday saying that her wrists are a bit sore.
Dr said must just be something her body is fighting off as everything else is clear. Really really weird but totally worry some for me off course.
