Michaela's in a snot with me and is now ignoring me.

I was in the kitchen preparing our dinner while Michaela played with her drum.  She came in with her drum around her neck and a marraca for me but I was busy putting dinner on so couldn't play with her.  In the end she stomped out throwing the drum and maracca on the floor.

Once dinner was in the oven I went into the lounge and told her I was free to play now and asked if she wanted to play with me.  She answered "no" and turned away from me

Don't worry.  We're friends again now.  It appears she's inherited my inability to maintain a grudge - although it may have had something to do with the fact she needed me to take her to the toilet.

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

Nope. I get the loudest shrillest scream you can imagine and then she cries. We get those screams many times a day at the moment.

Oh, and then you get

"YOU'RE NOT MY BEST FRIEND ANYMORE MUMMY"

problem is, it makes me crack up.

Yes that classic line I get that, and I also get "I don't want you as my mummy anymore". But 5 minutes he is my best friend as he wants something.

I get screamed at. In some ways, I would prefer the snub!

Oh yes, I occassionally get the screaming too and once she tried biting me to get my attention - note she only tried it once, apparently 2 mins in timeout wasn't the type of attention she sought.

My DD is in the "scream till you get what you want" stage!

At first we use to just give up but now we let her get it out of the system! I ask her "are you finished crying?" she says "NO"

That day she started to cry and I ignored her...then she came to me and said "I am finished"....finished what? "I am finished crying!!"....lol

I wish some times that she would ignore me....
