Hey wonderful women,
I've been around OB for years on and off through my own TTC journey, and only just twigged that it might be a good place to ask this question!
Would you be willing to have a student midwife follow you through your pregnancy journey?
I am studying the my first year of Midwifery in the Hutt through an Otago Polytechnic satellite, and part of our 'Sharing the Woman's Experience of Childbirth' Paper is to follow four women through their pregnancy journey to learn about what it's like from their perspective. This can include as little or as much involvement as you wish. Generally the student would attend some antenatal appointments with you, but can meet outside of this if preferred. It is not required for you to have the student at the birth.
Obviously it is an incredibly personal journey, so i understand it could be awkward to have another person to get to know, as well as your LMC midwife, but I would treat it as an absolute privilege to be allowed into that space and to share your experience.
You could be due anywhere from next month through to September!
Please private message me if you are interested and we can go from there

Thanks for reading!
