When did your childs 2 year old molars cut?

Here is the picture....for the last 2 weeks, Elle has been fine during the day with me (although going through a very loud phase!) but come about 4pm she just cries...and cries...and nothing stops it (except for TV but I hate having to use that). Her naps are all over the place but she has between 1 to 3 hours per day. Those of you who know her know that she is Miss Independence by nature but she currently needs me to stick with her, hold her hand etc through everything. She won't have a bar of dad and is a real grizzle guts whenever he is around (or anyone else really).

I took her to the doc today as she's been tugging her ear so I wondered about an ear infection. He said her gum is swollen above her bottom molars.

Cutting to the chase...we managed to get pamol into her tonight and within 20 mins she transformed into the happiest kid ever. Up until the eye teeth we had no issues with teething at all. They took 5 months to cut. Obviously I can't pamol her up every day for 5 mths if these take as long so I'm interested to know when they cut for your child.

And we've never had separation anxiety before...any hints about how long that'll last?????

P.S Despite all this, I must say she is the most wonderful (strong willed, stroppy, toad-like) thing ever. I am enjoying her and loving her more than ever at the moment.

Isla was very unsettled and sleeping worse than ever for about 4 days,..then on fri she was screaming and I looked in her mouth and her 2 bottom 2yr old molars are cutting,..her gums are sooo swollen and she has an ulcer on her tounge from where it must be rubbing. The only thing thats helping is giving pamol 4 hrly and bonjela.

If my maths is any good, does that mean Isla is 18mths? When did she get her last teeth? the ones before these 2yr old molars?

I am interested in this thread as well as Jack has just finished (or close to) cutting his 16th tooth (are they molars as well??). And I am wondering when his 2yrs olds are likely to rear their ugly head.

I think Isla is 20 months.

Ok so Elle has now screamed almost all weekend. Yesterderday from 4 until 8 then from 9 until 11 then from 1 until 3 then 4. We've managed to engage her in activities occassionally but the rest of the time has been spent crying. Could this really be the molars? She has never been THIS unsettled!

Yep Fiona we have had a wekend from hell like that too unfortunatly. Was so bad fri I had to get DH to come home from work as I coulsnt cope with it anymore. I have been given Isla pamol and bonjela 4 times a day and shes better today.

Yep Lindsey isla is 20 months. Shes always teethed a bit earlier than the 'norm',..had her first 2 teeth by 5 month. She got her first 4 molars in March - 17 months, and I wasnt expecting this lot quite this early!

Edited cos I cant add- Isla was 17 months in March, not 15!

Ok so Jack could be like Isla then and get his 2 yr olds in the next 6mths or so. He got his first tooth at 5mths and has just cut his 16th tooth at 14mths. Oh the joy that awaits me!

Elle didn't get her first tooth until 11 months and yet is already working on the 2 yo molars! She just popped them through one after the other.
