Topic: such a bad mum today Posted: 30 April 2008 at 4:24pm |
All i have done today is yell at Rhiannon....i havent slept through the night in about 3 mths...she is really clingy....cant leave the room without her screaming *mummy mummy*...
and i have only just figured out that its probably a combination of her being bored..and going through a growth spurt...she is sleeping almost 3 hours during the day and 12 hours at night (all be it in fits and starts)...is constantly hungry...and she has grown taller over the past week...oh and she is drinking almost 3 litres of milk a week (this from a toddler who as a baby didnt like milk).
It also doesnt help that my hormones are still all over the place...so one min im happy next im grumpy...roll on af so i can get back to normal.
I love my child but today i think i would have happily given her away

You are NOT a being a bad mum! You've had so much to deal with lately that no wonder you're exhausted! I hope tomorrow is a better day

Kaz! We all have horrible growly days. Despite all our aspirations at being supermum with superhuman patience abilities, we're all just human and we get grumpy and irrational too.
Don't be too hard on yourself, as you say, that sleep deficit won't be helping you any and add to that the hormone withdrawal after losing your wee bubs... its understandable that you're running out of reserves.
Can Kent let you have a day/morning at least off to sleep in and catch up with yourself?
Take care chicky, thinking of you!

Oooh yes good plan for bit of RNR....Wow..thats huge amount of milk...little Moo Cow!
Dont worry I made my 8 year old daughter do "lines" tonight over and over in hope that she will learn that way to shut the fricken toilet door after she has used it....
Despite telling her the reasons of Blake flooding the place..throwing things down the loo and eating the flowing soap..SHE STILL DIDNT GET IT...so that was my desperation MEASURE!!!

Yeah I know, as soon as they're sick you totally forget about the other stuff.
