Topic: Carrotts and Apples?????? Posted: 15 April 2008 at 1:27pm |
Just wondering if anyone elses little people seem to do nothing but chew these up into a million pieces then spit it out all over the floor????
When do they start actually SWALLOWING it????
Bit tedious when he has been eating both for 6 months + now!

Benjy still does it with apples too, mostly just the skin but if I give it to him with the skin off he'll still insist on spitting some back out!
He's always hated carrots tho

Apple we had that with for ages. now ayja's great with most fruit cos daycare gives them a heap of different ones to try.
Carrots, mike makes honeyed carrots (you know, pour about a tablespoon worth of honey in the water while they're boiling) and that is how we got her to eat them and like then, cut up in the circles, really finely. then she finally started eating them normally and wil now eat baby carrots etc.
sometimes it's about finding a way they WILL actually eat them, and going from there.

Ashlee loves apples, but the carrots she'll take and spit out (as she demonstrated to our visitors the other day!!! Haha!). She doesn't often spit anything out, but just lately has started again. Maybe it's sore gums and/or teething??? Not sure!

DD does this with raw apples and carrots - every time! Still asks for them, don't know why as she doesn't actually seem to eat any of them. Sigh.
And every time I see the title of this post, I start craving apples. Damn preggy hormones!
