BS - bought the toddler formula at the supermarket yesterday, (we use Karicare BTW) and have read up on the side of it, from what I can gather the 6months plus has more vitamins/minerals than the toddler formula, the toddler one has a higher Kj/Kcal, but only slightly.

I guess the 6months + is probably better to stick to if you have a fussy eater, to ensure they are getting the proper mineral/vitamins etc. Otherwise I don't think there is a huge difference between them. (the 6m+ Karicare also goes to 24months).

I think from memory the stage three formulas are more satisfying - so they get more full on them. Not too sure on that one though.

Noah has been on the stage three since he was about 10 months. We went to get his formula one day and it wasn't there but the three was so we got that. He didn't have any troubles with the switch.

As an aside, when we had plunket the other day, she said to def start dropping the bottles (we are on three a day here) as at this age they really should be getting most of their calories from food and they will start increasing their bottles if you let them. I know you've had issues getting to see plunket so you may not have that info - I didn't. I've noticed Noah eating (even more!!!) after dropping his middle bottle!!

Gina is still on stage 2 - she didn't really like the toddler milk and it does seem quite different than the formula - more like a vanilla milk

It took us a while to get the gremlins to take the toddler milk too coz of the different taste.

Why not just switch her to cows milk? If she's eating a balanced diet then she doesn't need formula. The gremlins were only on it while they were chronically underweight and have been on straight cows milk since their weight picked up again.

How did the switch go? We still have both our morning & nights bottles so I'm curious - we only ever give water in the sippy cup.
