The tantrum discussion started under another topic but I thought it deserved it's own.

Yesterday morning she screamed because her daddy had yelled out to me from the other end of the house to ask if I wanted coffee.

Our tantrum yesterday afternoon was because she was overheating (practically sweating) so I took her jersey off.

Oh yeah, and then there was a tanty at dinner time because she would not sit down so I strapped her into her highchair.

Today we have had tantrums over me cutting up an apple for us to share.

Then she decided she wanted the apple but wouldnt sit in the chair to eat it.

Another one cos I tried to help pull her undies back up after going to the toilet.

Oh the joys...

Oooooooooh, can I join in? Emma Rose isn't two until next month but the terrible twos tantrums have already started in our house too!

Today she had a tantrum in the car (while strapped into the carseat) because her jandal fell off and I didn't retrieve it from the floor and put it back on her foot RIGHT NOW (I was driving).

Then we were at a cafe meeting a friend for breakfast and she had a tantrum because I wouldn't give her the last bite of the hash brown that was part of MY breakfast, of which she had already eaten 80%. Oh, and another tantrum because I wouldn't let her drink MY juice.

Then in the car on the way home she had a tantrum because she threw her baby doll on the floor and immediately wanted it back, and I didn't retrieve it for her RIGHT NOW (because I was driving. Again.) Also, another tantrum because the dress-up necklace she was wearing was buckled UNDER the carseat strap.

Now she's napping, and I am enjoying the one time of the day that appears to be tantrum-free... and gearing up for the pre-dinner round.

Can they not count?! Surely we have a bit more time before the terrible twos and the frightful threes.

I was discussing with my sister last night and said that I hope she finishes her terrible twos early as well, since she's started them early. She said Joshua's (now 6) did and she's sure Elizabeth's will end soon (she's almost 8 - LOL)

Our tantrums yesterday were because:

1. She wasn't allowed another 'block' (iceblock) from the freezer. Nevermind the 3 she had already had.
2. We allowed her another block after dinner but had a tanty because I cut the top off it, opps, like she knows how to use the scissors
3. Because she was hungry and the fish wasn't cooking quick enough (good thing I didn't have to catch it, fillet it or crumb it myself)
4. Another because I was in the shower and I opened the curtain to see what she was doing. I wasn't popular!

Okay I am definately joining in this. McKayla has this habbit now if I tell her not to do something she tells me bye bye bye bye. Basically telling me to butt out and leave.

Okay onto tantrums.

She threw a tantrum because I didnt give her another snake. (this is now after I told her she can only have one and she agreed and then she got a second one after she agreed that is the final one.)

She threw a huge tantrum due to me vacuuming and she wants to do it. (so bribed with a snake.)

She threw a tantrum due to me not giving my purse to her when we got out of the car and kept on telling me it is hers. (and btw she has her own freaking handbags and purses for Africa.)

She threw a tantrum because I dare pack her puzzles away that was left out the whole morning not played with but all over the coffee table.

And yes I love it when she naps. Like seriously this better get better really soon.

Taine has tantrums because Jake was playing nicely with his own toys. He wanted them. well, more accurately he wanted Jake to give them to him, so he could throw them somewhere.

grrrr. not impressed.

This morning Michaela got upset with me because I changed her (extremely full) nappy before I'd allow her to have breakfast. She went running for the protection of her "daddy daddy daddy".
