Is it ok to give a 13mth old Nuttella? Is it only peanuts you have to be careful with or tree nuts as well?

I hope its OK because I've given it to my baby and she's not even 10 months old yet! From what I gather you need to be extra careful with nuts if you have family history of alergies and also never give chopped nuts as bubs can choke. I figured Nutella was OK and Gina didn't get a recation.

Yep I thought its fine to give stuff with nuts (peanut butter) etc after 1 year, as long as the child or family have no hx of allergies.

Oh my God, we have just discovered Nutella in this house -- I've started having peanut butter and Nutella sandwiches for lunch. It's like eating a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup sandwich... sort of. LOL. Emma Rose shoves Nutella sandwiches down her gullet so fast I'm always afraid she'll choke! Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm how I love Nutella...

Charlotte loves peanut butter so much she eats it off a spoon! Haven't tried nutella for ages....but she used to have it in her sandwiches for day care until they banned it (cause of the nut thing) DOH!

Nuts included in things (and of course good old peanut butter!) are fine after 1yr old assuming no family history. Usually leave the whole peanuts and popcorn till they are 2-3yrs+
