On and off for the past few weeks, there have been mornings when Charlotte wakes up dry. I have heard it can start to be normal for them to not go in their nappy overnight but I would have thought that might come with toilet training?

We haven't started toilet training yet although she is starting to be aware of when she needs to do number 2's and quite often will tell us just beforehand (but its too late to get to the potty unfortunately).

Would now be the time to start considering training? I am a bit stumped on this one?!

Caitlin does the same with the #2s. She goes and gets her potty (she's had a potty since 3mths due to her constipation probs)

She might be ready for training but I'd just go with the flow and let her tell you what she wants to do. Can't hurt to start now

She may want to start training during the day but I'd keep the nappy on at night for now in case it's just a phase and then she won't get distressed if she wakes up soaked one morning.

I know some 18mo's seem ready for TT, the only thing is that it can be so difficult to maintain because they're short and often can't dress/undress themselves. So TTing becomes a series of "emergencies" where you have to drop and run. Still, if she's interested, give her a couple of tries at least. Briona was interested at 18mos, I think she just wanted to copy Hannah, so we let her sit on the toilet until her facsination passed. Now she's just starting to TT #2's and the neat thing is that she is already comfortable in sitting on the toilet.
