Topic: TT announcement Posted: 04 January 2007 at 2:10pm |
Hannah is now officially out of nappies during the day. And has been dry quite a few nights over the last few weeks too!!! Crazy kid!
She had been running around nudie quite a bit before we went on holiday (when it seemed like summer was actually going to show up) and it had been going well, but then we went away and I expected it all to go downhill - but quite the opposite! The day before we left on the trip down south, I took her on the bus to Palmy. She had a nappy on but stayed dry the whole time and went to the toilet at the restaurant we went to for lunch. Then stayed dry the whole way home. So I took that as my cue that she was ready for it and ditched the naps!
Throughout the whole time we were down south, staying at plenty of different houses and travelling for quite a while on some days - she wore knickers! She has had a few accidents, mostly at Gran's house and a few since we've been home but still less than one a day. And yesterday's accident was because I forgot to take her to the toilet after arriving home from a long shopping trip and when she told me I had very little warning and had stupidly put her in the most complicated overalls in the world. Idiot!
Anyway... first day nappiless at creche today and she has been going well.

Yay! But Nikki I must warn you that washing knickers is nowhere near as fun as all those clothies you have

Hrmmm... especially with the lack of male around to fill his part!!!
And yeah, I reckon Murphy was having his fun with me again... as soon as I get ultra excited about cloth, he throws the whole TT thing at me! ARGH!
Good thing I do actually have an underwear obsession... Farmers have the cutest little bonds underwear for toddlers! I'll find the pic I have of Han in her boylegs. (I've posted it before but you can all see it again )

I love underwear too, Kobe has heaps of undies, lots of boxers and boyleg ones with wiggles on them. They are so cute!

Yah Hannah!! Jake is pretty much TT during the day, BUT I have to ask...and sometimes force...him to go. GHe won't tell me! very annoying. So good on hannah for yelling 9ut.
My friend is a creche worker and said she HATES overalls with a passion for two/three year olds. When she sees them coming through the door, she starts looking around for suitable spares she'll need to put on later. byut they look so cute!

Yay Hannah. I do like those boyleg pants she had on. Andrew is the biggest Thomas freak so he has his Thomas undies and he loves them. We are in the process of night time training that one is a mission.

Becks, my Hannah has been TT for some months now but definitely not at nights (although fortunately only wet). She's showing no sign of wanting to or being ready yet but I'm guessing and hoping that will all start this year sometime.
Thought she was starting to get it last week when she was calling out for toileting an hour after bedtime, but it seems that had a whole heap more to do with attention than toilet-stopping

Andrew is dry most nights. We get him up before we go to bed to go toilet and those nights he is dry. We have had one night of no pullup on and he loved it. So it may be an incentive for him to stay dry at night.
When I wake him up he has no idea where he is. Boxing Day night I got him out of bed, took 2 steps fell over and went to sleep on the floor. It was so cute and funny at the same time.

Poor guy I remember hearing stories about my brother being woken like that and he was facing the wrong way and walked straight into the wall!

congrats on TT (not TTC!) - summer is an excellent time to do it too!
Those boylegs are sooo cute...and I am also a lover of overalls on girls...nothing cuter than a singlet or nothing underneath them in summer i say! But they are a pain to get off for TT!!!

Yes - never again. They were particularly hard to get off too as Mum put these giant flower buttons on which I have to wrench the button hole around to get the silly plastic petals through.
But other than that mistake... we've not had an accident since
