I have had MCs and suspected ones usually around 5-6 weeks so I dont add up angels etc etc....but understand people on here whh do!

However I am so offended at what is happening I had to ask for advice on what to do next - its not like it is a consumer issue really and I dont want publicity on this one...

When pg (months and months ago!) I signed up to a newsletter for a NZ product company - they sent me some stuff in post and email. Well I then MCed and when next email arrived tried to unsubscribe and then thought nothing of it. UNTIL further emails kept arriving - so I kept unsubscribing. The emails have your pregnancy progress etc etc....

THEN a few weeks back one arrived congratulating me on impending birth...in the MAIL!!!! I was shocked and so was my mother who was standing there who knew nothing of the MC of course! I had to say i had signed up for something etc etc...So I rang them (as I got YET ANOTHER email also) and demanded they remove me after 5 emails unsubscribing and one to their customer service desk. The woman took my email and name and wanted to put me to someone else in company and wanted my phone number - there was NO WAY she was getting that too! I was nearly in tears telling her how this was offensive after a MC and trying to stop it all....I mean gawd I had not even remembered my due date from that MC!!!! thanks a lot to them for reminding me!!!

I hope...hope it is stopped now...if I get another email what should I do??? I will NEVER use this companys products ever again as a result!!!!

Gosh that is awful and very insensitive of them - can't believe they would put someone through that!

Maybe you should send an email to Fair Go?

isnt there some law about unsolicited emails and once you unsubscribe they arent legally allowed to email you... maybe they should be reminded of that on some official letterhead!

Sorry no idea on what to do, I like the Fair Go advice though!!

Just wanted to say how horrible and insensitive that is! I cant believe someone would be so unthoughtful.

Thats awful!!
There is some law about spam email that came in a couple of years ago - maybe google that to get the details and mention that (should it keep happening)

I think you need to find out the legalities for sure - we got several emails, mail in the post for life insurance for my mum after they had paid out her funeral insurance and it was a nightmare, was a year before they got the message
