Topic: Oh dear am I a bad person? Posted: 16 August 2010 at 6:27pm |
So my cousin and his partner are expecting their first daughter in 14 days and I just feel so green with envy! I've even screened calls from my Aunt because she talks non stop about the baby and I've hidden his partners facebook updates from my newsfeed because she constantly moans about being pregnant when I would give practically anything to be expecting a baby in 14 days! Does this make me horrible?

didn't want to read and run but no it doesn't make you horrible. If you've just had a m/c and you are grieving for that loss then its perfectly natural to be envious/hurt/upset because they are having something you want.
Don't worry one day you will be 14days away from your EDD complaining about being pregnant and telling the baby to get out as much as you'll love the baby and may love being pregnant we all do it

I absolutely agree with Honey (above). Also, you've only just m/c so your emotions will naturally be up and down. Did any of the family, like the aunt, know that you had been pg? Developing sensitivity around m/c is only something that comes with experience, and everyone copes with it differently too (as in, some ppl want others to not talk about it but other ppl want others to not avoid the issue). Big hugs.
