Topic: i start tomorrow Posted: 18 April 2007 at 9:58pm |
Well i picked up the chilli bin on tuesday
it was the big appointment at the f clinic
man am i glad i took my backpack - i was not carrying that up the street
it needed to be kept refridgereated - full of needles and syringes and bottles of stuff
no way was i taking it to work so after stuffing it in my bag, i walked to my friends shop and used her fridge for the day
i had had my visit to the fertility clinic and learned how to inject myself - i practised on a sponge
i start for real tomorrow morning
eeeekkkk
aside from hating needles
it all feels so real
annoying that i have to do this darn it being so hard for me
and so darn easy for others
but im glad the day is finally here

Good luck with everything Emile. My Best friend went through all of this last year, and now they have a beautiful little girl. I know she found the whole process hard but she's soo glad she went through it now.
All the best

Good luck Emile! I went through this and my little girl is due in August! So worth it, and I didn't find it too bad. I think the thought is worse than the actual deed. I will pray that things go well for you.

I hope the next jab you can get up the courage to do, we may have to do the same too in the near future, so will be with you on the hating needles thing. But the fear soon goes away after a while, it will become routine. Best wishes!

I guarantee it will hurt less if you do it rather than letting DH do it... The trick is to make sure you squeeze as much flesh as you can and don't 'stab' the needle in, just push gently. It's better I promise!

Congrats on taking the first step, all the best Emile. I don't know if you saw my post in GC the other day but a lady I know from swimming just had IVF twins, definitely worth all the drama it took to get pregnant
