I'm wondering if anyone can give me any advice / information.
My husband has epilepsy, and so is not allowed to drive. I am starting to wonder about what will happen when I go into labour, and how we will get to hospital. Short of calling an ambulance (something I am told the ambulances aren't keen on responding to, if it's a normal labour and nothing is 'wrong'), any advice on services available or how we would get to the hospital? I have also been told most taxis won't take me, because of the possibility of my waters breaking, and making a mess.
Has anyone been here before?

Have a friend or family member on speed-dial! Or maybe more than one of them and talk to them as the time gets closer so that one is always on sober-driver duty.

Have you spoken to midwives about options? She might have some great ideas!

I organised with friends both times as Im a single parent with no family, I did drive myself to the hospital with my first thou after my waters 'broke' I didnt wet the seat on the way there but did have a big flood soon as I got out of the car :)

Instead of a taxi you could look at Dial A Driver, then you are using your own car, so doesnt matter if you leak everywhere lol
