Hi all. I had such a panic - my li'l Joshua bumped his gums about a month ago on the cot now that the top incisors came out they appeared cracked and split. Took him to the dentist who said go to a pediatric dentist and finally got him in to see someone this morning that said its twin teeth!! The teeth are aparently not damaged. ANYONE else maybe have that happend to their little bubs?? I cant find any info on the web (bizarre) but the dentist didnt seem to worried..

yeah its rather bizarre. its the one tooth that comes out in two and then (aparently) looks like one in the end..Im really confused. We got a 10 min consultation due to the fact that there are no available pediatric dentists for the next few weeks. Scary.

OMG I have never heard of that before.
Haleighs banged her mouth heaps of times, she has chipped one of her front teeth, but that was after they had come through.

My neice has twin teeth. Her bottom two came out as if she had 4, but now they definitely look like two teeth but as if they are chipped. LOL but my SIL has never had them looked at because it took her months to figure out that it was actually only two teeth!!

great to know that! I was pondering if I should spend more money in getting a second opinion. But if your nieces teeth looked chiped then I feel better. That is what it looks like with Joshua. I got a call back from one of the dentist saying they can see us tuesday. Consultaion fee for first timers...$180!!!! Same as my powerbill..Horrid to think!
