21dpo - hcg 33, progesterone 11 (random blood tests done yesterday, just routine bloods, so it's a bit of a wildcard).
Is this going to be a pregnancy - or are these levels doomed? My specialist doesn't hold hope. 2nd bloods tomorrow to see if levels are rising. They are worried my progesterone is too low.
Is there anyone else out there had really low levels like this at this stage that have resulted in an ongoing pregnancy?
No holds barred with your replies please - I am not getting my hopes up, far from it, I am truly expecting this to end up being a 'late period'.

I really couldn't say, especially about the progesterone level. Is there any chance you may have ovulated later than you think? Hope your next results show a nice increase in hCG!!!

I don't know anything about the progesterone levels but 33 does sound very low for 21DPO. Unless you ov'd later than you thought it doesn't sound very good. BUT the HCG rise is far more important than the actual numbers, so you really won't know until the next bloods. Fingers crossed for you.

HCG ranges
There used to be a chart on the Diagnostic Medlab website somewhere for HCG levels (I don't know a thing about progesterone levels except that it's really important!), but I can't find the thing. They say you can be about 7 days out on ovulation (with this pregnancy, I was a number of days out when we dated it) so definitely wait and see what your HCG levels are doing. If I was you - depending on your next blood test, jump up and down for progesterone support. You have absolutely nothing to lose and everything to gain.

I have to wait until Fri for my results as they are very slow at processing due to the quake.
They aren't so much worried about my hcg - it's the progesterone level - as it's so low that it could indicate AF is on her way.

Because my hcg levels are so low, I haven't been offered progesterone support, there seemingly is no point. I have such a history of chemical pregnancies and missed miscarriages, they have based this on that. I can see their point - whereas a year ago I would have been on my knees begging for progesterone support. If I had an hcg in the 100+ range, they would offer me the progesterone. But as it is 33 at 21dpo, that in itself is not a good number.

Has your progesterone been low for the other mc's? Unfortunately, it doesn't sound good with that low a number - unless you did ov later than you thought. But yeah prog should be over 20. If it has been low at the other times, have they talked about prog support during the 2ww? When I was TTC #2 I started on the pessaries on day21 with BT day28 and would just stop them if not UTD. All the best and I'm hoping for some good news for you

I am not totally up with the whole dpo thing and have no idea about progesterone levels. But I can tell you, with my first pregnancy, my first blood test was done the day my period was due (I had regular 28 day cycles). The hcg was I think 26...it was definitely in the 20's anyway. They did lots of bloods after that, to check they were rising as that was low for how far along I was apparently. Anyways, she is now a busy 19month old. So I wish you all the best and will look out for your results on here!

The progesterone does seem quite low. I know mine was around 20 at 14DPO (HCG was 98) and I was put on pessaries as they like it to be around 40-60 from memory, in order to sustain an early pregnancy. I hope that things work out for you though.

I have had progesterone support previously and my levels have always been normal, they have put me on the prog support just to give me something 'extra' hoping it would stop me mc'ing.
The hcg level is low but that is not what they are concerned with.
Today I will know I guess, I get my blood results. Even if the hcg has risen, the prog will likely not.
I think I know the outcome - have done some research online since starting this thread and it's not hopeful.

Yes, hcg now 22. It's definitely a chemical pregnancy. They didn't get the progesterone results for some reason, but the hcg speaks for itself.
